We keep classes small, so that
your teacher can focus on you
We help you become a more confident user of the English language with a special focus on communication skills and culture. These lessons will help you speak more fluently, and cover different topics every week.
There is no coursebook for the Afternoon English course, as we focus on communication and creative tasks. Of course, you will be using your notebook, and we will also give you useful handouts for these lessons.
You will use the internet to access some great resources, but this course is mostly about there and then: about real-life communication in the classroom. There is no e-learning platform for this course.
You will take a placement test on your first day in the school, so that we can put you into a group that fits your level of English. After that, you will write progress tests every week, so we can all see how much you improve.
One of your teachers will also be your tutor while you study with us. You will meet your tutor regularly for a one-to-one discussion on how you are progressing, and what else you could do to develop your English skills.
When you finish your courses, you will receive a certificate of your studies with us, showing what course you followed. You will also receive an academic report and an assessment tracker from your teachers detailing your English skills.
This course is only available for adult students (aged 16 years or over). However, our Junior Summer School is open for younger learners (12-17 years old).
